Rule 310: Assigning or charging interest in a superannuation fund

Rule 310 deals with an employee who assigns or creates a charge on his beneficial interest in a superannuation fund. Rules 301 to 315 govern approved superannuation funds under Part B of Schedule XI to the Act. The Assessing Officer gives notice. If the employee does not secure cancellation within two months of receiving it, the consideration received is deemed income of the tax year in which the fact became known to the Assessing Officer.
