RoDTEP Scheme Extended Through 31 December 2026
The RoDTEP extension continues existing rates and value caps for eligible exporters through December 2026. Check the coverage and practical filing points.

The Department of Commerce has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme through 31 December 2026, according to its notification dated 30 September 2026 and the official announcement published on 2 October. The extension covers exports by Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units, Advance Authorisation (AA) holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units and Export Oriented Units (EOUs).
RoDTEP refunds certain embedded central, state and local duties, taxes and levies that remain in the cost of exported products. The government says the rates and value caps in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE that applied on 30 September 2026 will continue unchanged during the extension.
What exporters should do
- Check the applicable tariff line, rate and value cap before quoting or filing export documents.
- Review whether the exporting unit falls under DTA, AA, SEZ or EOU coverage.
- Keep shipping bills and supporting records aligned with the applicable RoDTEP claim process.
This announcement extends the scheme's duration; it does not announce an across-the-board rate increase. For product-specific treatment, use the applicable DGFT appendices and customs process. If your business does not yet hold an Importer-Exporter Code, see our IEC registration service.
