AGILE-PRO-S Filing - GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC & Bank Account, Handled Together
AGILE-PRO-S (Application for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, Profession Tax registration and Opening of Bank Account) is the linked form filed as part of SPICe+ company incorporation, letting a new company get its GST number, EPFO and ESIC registrations, state Profession Tax registration, and a bank account request submitted in one go. If you already incorporated and skipped one or more of these, or need help completing AGILE-PRO-S correctly at incorporation, we handle both - filing the linked form at incorporation, or applying for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, or Profession Tax individually afterwards, since each can also be obtained on its own outside AGILE-PRO-S.

What is Form AGILE-PRO-S?
AGILE-PRO-S stands for Application for Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN), Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) registration, Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) registration, Profession Tax registration, and Opening of Bank Account. It is filed as a linked web form under Part B of SPICe+ (INC-32), the integrated company incorporation form on the MCA portal.
The intent behind AGILE-PRO-S is to save a newly incorporated company from having to separately approach the GST department, EPFO, ESIC, the state Profession Tax authority, and a bank - by bundling these applications into the incorporation workflow itself. EPFO and ESIC registration numbers are generated for every company incorporated through SPICe+, regardless of whether the company opts in, since these are structural registrations tied to having employees on record. GSTIN and Profession Tax registration are applied for only if the company chooses to opt in on the form at the time of incorporation.
AGILE-PRO-S is fundamentally an incorporation-linked form - it only runs alongside a fresh SPICe+ incorporation filing. If your company is already incorporated and you did not opt in for GSTIN or Profession Tax at that time, or you need to add these registrations later, you cannot go back and file AGILE-PRO-S retroactively. Instead, GSTIN, EPFO/ESIC compliance updates, and Profession Tax registration are each available as standalone applications through their respective departments - this is where most of our AGILE-PRO-S-related client requests actually come from, and we handle both the linked filing at incorporation and the standalone applications afterwards.
Who needs AGILE-PRO-S filing or the underlying registrations?
AGILE-PRO-S itself is only relevant at the moment of incorporation. The individual registrations it covers are relevant to a wider set of businesses at any stage.
- A company currently being incorporated via SPICe+ that wants GSTIN and/or Profession Tax registration applied for at the same time, alongside the automatic EPFO/ESIC registration
- A company that opted out of GSTIN or Profession Tax at incorporation and now needs to register for GST because it has crossed the threshold or wants to raise GST-compliant invoices
- A company that has hired employees and needs to activate its EPFO/ESIC compliance (registration numbers exist from incorporation, but active compliance - filing challans, enrolling employees - needs to be set up)
- A company operating in a state where Profession Tax registration is mandatory for employers and was not completed at incorporation
- A company whose AGILE-PRO-S bank account request did not result in an account being opened, and needs help completing account opening separately with a bank
Which registrations apply to you
GSTIN
- Needed once turnover crosses the GST threshold, or immediately if you want to raise GST invoices, do inter-state supply, or sell on e-commerce platforms
- Can be applied for at incorporation via AGILE-PRO-S, or separately anytime after
EPFO / ESIC
- Registration numbers auto-generated at SPICe+ incorporation for every company
- Active compliance (enrolling employees, filing monthly challans) is typically needed once employee count crosses the applicable thresholds under each Act
Profession Tax
- Applicable in states that levy Profession Tax on employers and employees (varies by state - not all states levy it)
- Can be opted into at incorporation via AGILE-PRO-S, or registered separately with the state authority afterwards
Bank account
- AGILE-PRO-S includes a request to a partner bank for a current account, but final account opening still requires bank KYC and documentation
- If this did not go through, a bank account can be opened independently at any time
What does not qualify
- ✕AGILE-PRO-S cannot be filed as a standalone form after incorporation is already complete - it only runs with a fresh SPICe+ filing
- ✕Sole proprietorships and partnership firms are not incorporated via SPICe+ and so are not eligible for AGILE-PRO-S; they apply for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and PT directly and individually
What documents do you need?

How AGILE-PRO-S and related registrations work
The process differs depending on whether you are filing at incorporation or applying for a registration separately afterwards.
Confirm your scenario
We check whether you're incorporating now (AGILE-PRO-S applies directly) or already incorporated and need one or more registrations separately - the paperwork and timelines differ.
At incorporation - complete AGILE-PRO-S as part of SPICe+
We fill in the GSTIN and Profession Tax opt-in sections of AGILE-PRO-S alongside your SPICe+ filing, and confirm the EPFO/ESIC registration numbers are generated correctly on incorporation approval.
Post-incorporation - apply for each registration individually
For GSTIN, we file a standalone GST registration application. For EPFO/ESIC compliance, we activate the existing registration numbers and enrol employees. For Profession Tax, we file with the relevant state authority.
Track approvals across departments
GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and Profession Tax are processed by different departments with different timelines - we track each one and flag any query or clarification request as it comes in.
Hand over registration certificates and next steps
You receive the GSTIN certificate, EPFO/ESIC registration confirmation, and Profession Tax certificate as applicable, along with guidance on the recurring compliance each one triggers (GST returns, PF/ESI challans, PT payments).
AGILE-PRO-S only exists as a linked incorporation form - it cannot be 'refiled' for an existing company. If you're past incorporation, what you actually need is the individual GSTIN, EPFO/ESIC, or Profession Tax application, which we handle just as readily. We're upfront about which path applies before you pay for anything.
How much does AGILE-PRO-S filing cost?
Our fee depends on whether this is filed alongside incorporation or as standalone post-incorporation registrations. Government fees for GSTIN and EPFO/ESIC registration are nil; Profession Tax fees vary by state.

Why get these registrations right at the start
Operational readiness
- GSTIN lets you raise tax-compliant invoices, claim input tax credit, and sell on e-commerce marketplaces from day one instead of scrambling once you cross the threshold
- EPFO/ESIC registration numbers being in place from incorporation means you can enrol employees immediately once you start hiring, without a separate registration delay
Avoiding compliance gaps
- Missing Profession Tax registration in states where it's mandatory can attract penalties once the state authority identifies the gap during an audit or inspection
- Delayed GST registration after crossing the threshold can mean back-dated liability and interest, in addition to the registration itself
One-window coordination
- Instead of separately approaching GSTN, EPFO, ESIC, and the state PT department, we track all applicable registrations for your company as one coordinated effort
- We flag which registrations you may not need yet (e.g., GSTIN below threshold) so you don't pay for or maintain compliance you don't require

Frequently asked questions
AGILE-PRO-S stands for Application for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC registration, Profession Tax registration, and Opening of Bank Account. It is a linked web form filed under Part B of SPICe+, the integrated company incorporation form on the MCA portal.
EPFO and ESIC registration numbers are generated automatically for every company incorporated via SPICe+, so that part is effectively built in. GSTIN and Profession Tax are optional opt-ins within AGILE-PRO-S - you choose whether to apply for them at incorporation.
No. AGILE-PRO-S is a linked form that only runs alongside a fresh SPICe+ incorporation filing - it cannot be filed on its own for an already-incorporated company. If you need GSTIN, EPFO/ESIC activation, or Profession Tax registration after incorporation, these are applied for individually and separately through their respective departments.
Yes. GSTIN can be applied for at any time as a standalone application directly with the GST department, independent of AGILE-PRO-S. Many companies apply for GST registration only once they approach the turnover threshold or need it for a specific transaction.
AGILE-PRO-S submits a bank account opening request to a partner bank, but the bank still applies its own KYC and account-opening process. It is a request, not a guarantee - if it does not go through, you can open an account separately with any bank of your choice.
Registration (getting an EPFO/ESIC number) happens automatically at incorporation via AGILE-PRO-S. Active compliance - enrolling actual employees, deducting PF/ESI contributions, and filing monthly challans - is a separate, ongoing process that starts once you have employees crossing the applicable thresholds under each Act.
No. Profession Tax is a state-level levy, and not every state imposes it. Whether your company needs to register depends on the state where your registered office or place of business is located - we confirm applicability for your specific state before filing.
The state Profession Tax authority can levy penalties for non-registration and non-payment once identified, typically during an inspection or audit. It is a comparatively low-value but easily overlooked compliance item for many companies.
No. AGILE-PRO-S is linked to SPICe+ company incorporation, which applies to companies, not sole proprietorships or partnership firms. Those entity types apply for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and Profession Tax registrations directly and individually through the respective departments.
It typically processes alongside SPICe+ incorporation approval, though GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and Profession Tax may each complete at slightly different times since different departments process them. Standalone post-incorporation applications for these registrations generally take a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the registration and department.
Yes, if you did not opt in for GSTIN at incorporation. GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and Profession Tax are four independent registrations bundled into one form only for convenience - each one still needs to be individually applied for, whether through AGILE-PRO-S at incorporation or separately afterwards.
GSTIN and EPFO/ESIC registration carry no government fee. Profession Tax registration fees vary by state. Our professional fee covers document preparation and coordinating the applications across departments.
Yes. We handle single registrations - just GSTIN, just EPFO/ESIC activation, or just Profession Tax - as well as the combined AGILE-PRO-S filing at incorporation or bundled post-incorporation applications.
AGILE-PRO-S is specifically linked to SPICe+, which is the incorporation form for companies. LLPs are incorporated through a different form (FiLLiP) and apply for GSTIN, EPFO, ESIC, and Profession Tax registrations individually and separately.
Queries are addressed directly with the relevant department (GSTN, EPFO, or ESIC as applicable) - we track and respond to these on your behalf as part of the filing engagement, since each department can raise its own independent clarification requests.
